Sean Jackson joins organist Liu Hsin-Hung and handbell performers for a special National Concert Hall program celebrating the worlds of film, love, and hope. The one-hour concert ranges from Mission: Impossible and Super Mario to themes by John Williams, Cinema Paradiso, Taiwanese music, Rachmaninoff’s 18th Variation on a Theme of Paganini, and a four-hands-and-four-feet finale. Sean performs both organ and piano in a program featuring several of his own arrangements.

Sean Jackson brings together pipe organ, cello, and soprano in an intimate exploration of the many colors of the Weiwuying Concert Hall organ. The program moves from Bach and French organ music to Fauré, Handel, Vivaldi, sacred vocal repertoire, and Sean’s own arrangement of the Taiwanese folk song Longing for the Spring Breeze (望春風), with performances for solo organ, organ and cello, organ and voice, and the full ensemble.

Organist and pianist Sean Jackson is joined by theologian Prof. Liang and soprano Alice Ma for a program combining musical performance, theological reflection, and discussion. Featured excerpts from Bach’s Magnificat include “Et exsultavit spiritus meus” and “Quia respexit humilitatem.”
