Thanks, Sean — again. Very enjoyable to see you and Jason together…I barely remember him performing at your wedding (must have been distracted by something), so it was especially reminiscent of a very good, meaningful time. Having played trumpet badly for years (marching band, HS orchestra) I can appreciated his talent and polished skills. Bravo, guys!!
Sean,
This was such an endearing format and the performance was beautiful!!
It was lovely to hear Jason speak of his family and their musical background…and also to hear you both speak of the Juilliard Fellowship and especially your talents used in praise & worship.

It started out as a Roosevelt in the 1890s but essentially this is a 1917 E. M. Skinner organ which was revoiced etc in 1992 by Bruce Shultz. 116 ranks/approx. 6800 pipes.

what church was this recorded at? It’s so grand.

A very excellent and Baroque performance. I love this. Maybe you could just increase the tempo a little, but I say that about most things, so don’t pay attention.

It doesn’t exist. I’ve spent half my life looking for it.

The wedding song played in Lady Mary and Matthew Crawley’s wedding in “Downton Abbey.” Also played in Betty Warren’s wedding in “Monalisa Smile.”
Julia O'Brien
what is the full name of the song? which opus is it of John Stanley’s?

This seems incredibly slow. I’ve always thought that this piece should be played “lively”, but not fast. Never-the-less, a well executed performance.

Really great, seriously. So wonderful you didn’t rush it, and let the music sing. Wow. 🙂

Exquisite trumpet is crisp and theorgan is not overbearing. best version i have heard.
Good day! I am a wedding DJ, and this is absolutely my favorite Trumpet Voluntary I’ve heard. Do you have a link that or a way to purchase this version with Jason Covey?
